PNEWS-L and RHETORIC are conduits for original essays, papers, announcements and pointers to articles and discussion and a higher level of discourse. PNEWS-L is also the oldest (egalitarian) "progressive" political news and views distribution lists on the internet (since 1982) based on the proposition that we are entitled to certain basic rights, like good and affordable health care, food, shelter, liveable wages, equal rights and opportunities and this academic symposium addresses those issues that cause despair and alienation. We seek the truth. PNEWS-L has a pro-justice and pro-truth orientation. Join with others who are already members. There are also FOUR (topic-specific) portals here with the links to them at .
